Paulo Dybala is a widely renowned Argentine professional footballer who is best known for playing as a forward for Juventus and the Argentine national team. He is considered to be one of the world’s most valuable players of all time, commonly referred to as ‘La Joya’, meaning ‘The Jewel’. He earned the nickname owing to his creative style of play, pace, talent and technique. He is famed for his eye for a goal, even at a young age he showed great goal scoring ability.
Having started his footballing career at Palermo in 2012, he went on to join Juventus for a fee of 32 million euros and has made 100 appearances with the club. During his time at the club, he won the double Serie A and Coppa Italia, two consecutive league titles and two Supercoppa Italiana titles.
He has won several individual awards, including Most Valuable Player award 2019-20 and was named in the Serie A Team of the Year. Making his debut for Argentina in 2015, Dybala was chosen as part of the squad for the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the 2019 Copa America, leading them to win a bronze medal.
