The wonderfully talented Peter Stokkebroe is a former professional Ballroom dancer, and a 5x World and Blackpool champion. He retired from the dance circuit in 2010, and now works as a coach, trainer and choreographer, and co-organiser of the Summer Dance camps.
Born and raised in Århus, Denmark, Stokkebroe began dancing at a young age. By the time he was 19 he had been crowned Youth World Latin champion and Youth World Standard champion. He continued to compete on the national and international stage and between 1996 and 2000 was a 3x Nordic champion in combined, and a 3x Danish champion in combined. In 2000 he also became the European and World champion in 10 Dances. He then started concentrating more on Latin and in 2004 and 2005 was crowned Nordic and Danish champion respectively.
Together with his partner, Kristina Juel, Stokkebroe began to dominate the Latin dance circuit, winning the World championship in 2006, and the European championships consecutively in 2006 and 2007. The couple had married in 2004, and after the 2009 European Championships, took a break from competing. They returned to training after the birth of their son, and won the World Championships in May 2010. They then officially retired from the professional circuit.
