Hailing all the way from Israel, the Israeli-American actor, director and musician is already a true veteran in the entertainment industry despite his relatively young age. Born in 1986, the Ullman family moved to America shortly after Raviv’s first birthday. Throughout his 24 year career thus far, he is most well known for playing Phil Diffy, the main character in the Disney Channel’s series Phil of the Future.
Raviv first discovered his talents in and love of entertainment at summer camp when he played Peter Pan. Shortly after he taught himself the trombone and also discovered his passion for music. The all round artist’s first performance was as Louis in a touring company of The King and I. It was in 2004 that his big break came and Raviv landed the role of Phil. Around this time he also worked on many other Disney shows, such as That’s So Raven, and became a member of the Disney Channel Circle of Stars. Other guest roles of his include Big Love, Law & Order and House.
During this time of success in the television world, Raviv has also led a great music career. In 2006 he formed the band Goodbye Ian with Big Love actor Douglas Smith. The group was later renamed His Orchestra and released their debut album, Field Guide to the Wilds in 2009. Raviv has also worked widely as a touring musician, both drumming and on guitar. 2012 saw him tour with artist Soko. In 2014 he formed the group Lolawolf with actress Zoe Kravitz. On top of all his success in the entertainment industry, Raviv still finds time to support TAP, Teen AIDS Prevention, an organisation determined to protect the youth of today.
