The gifted recording artist Maurice Williams, who is better known by his stage name Reese LaFlare, is a rapper, record producer, and entrepreneur. He is famous for being one of the original members of the hip-Hop collective Two-9. He launched his clothing line, Diva in the United States, in 2020.
Born in Alabama, and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Williams became an early innovator in the city’s rising trap scene. His career actually started on a bet after a friend wagered $200 that he couldn’t produce a solid mixtape. So Reese took up the challenge and recorded his debut mixtape, Reese Vs the World, in just three days. He was signed up by Don Cannon, who release LaFlare’s the mixtape in January 2011, followed by his second, Reese Vs the World 2, in October 2012. LaFlare then hooked up with friends KEY! and Curtis Williams to form the collective Two-9. The group pushed Atlanta’s trap scene even further, until LaFlare parted ways in 2014.
Now working solo again, LaFlare continued to develop his sound, dropping more mixtapes and a number of EPs and singles, until his self-titled debut album came out in 2018. He then delved into R&B for his second album, 2019’s Final Fantasy. In April 2020 he debuted his new clothing line, Diva in the United States, along with three EPs: Diva, Vol 1, Diva, Vol 2, and Diva, Vol 3. He continues to release music, as well as push the boundaries of his creativity.
Reese LaFlare regularly connects with his hundreds of thousands of followers and fans through Instagram, posting pictures and videos of his life around music. He also has a dedicated YouTube channel, lozaus1, Reese LAFLARE.
