Award-winning director and producer Robby Starbuck has directed artists as diverse as Snoop Dog, Sarah Bareilles, Akon, Megadeath and Smashing Pumpkins. Highly sought-after by today’s leading artists for his artistic, independent mentality and vision, his work has been viewed over 5 billion times around the globe. He has directed and produced some of the biggest stars in Hollywood, including Brad Pitt, Natalie Portman and Jamie Foxx.
His numerous accolades and awards include Kerrang! Video of the Year award, Best Video With A Message at the MTV VMAs and YouTube Play award, plus nominations for Best Indie Video and Best Rock Video at the Much Music Video Awards.
Starbuck is a Cuban-American who hails from California. He began to rise to prominence for his work in 2010, when he featured in a cover story for SUBSTREAM Magazine and was also named in the Top 40 under 40 by OC METRO.
Not just a ground-breaking director, Starbuck is also an incredibly successful entrepreneur. In 2007 he created production company RSM so he could create a self-efficient environment both for himself and the vast array of talented directors, and within two years the company expanded to represent over 15 directors including himself. RSM has since produced 1000’s of commercials and music videos and racked up a vast collection of best video awards.
Starbuck has recently moved into the world of US politics and has announced his candidacy for Congress in 2022. Starbuck is also the co-host of cultural and political podcast GrowUp Live, alongside his wife.
