Roger Craig Smith is an acclaimed and versatile voice actor. Although beginning in stand-up comedy, Smith has since become one of the entertainment industry’s most successful voice artists. Smith is originally from Michigan and began his voice acting career in 2004.
His early years saw him book a flurry of different roles which helped to establish his name as one of the industry’s rising talents. Long running series he began during those years include Naruto (which he has since been involved in for over a decade), Zegapain for 26 episodes, Duel Master for 26 episodes, Eyeshield for 26 episodes and Bleach, where he stayed until 2012, for 68 episodes. Also in this time, he became increasingly involved in video games, voicing characters in hit games such as Tekken 5, Warriors Orochi and Valkyria Chronicles. As time went on, Smith booked high-profile voice work in other games such as Assassin’s Creed, Resident Evil, Naruto, Metal Gear Solid and Avatar: The Game.
Smith’s voice acting career has included a vast amount of work in the world of superhero series, these include Wolverine, Iron Man, Marvel Anime as well as playing Batman in Batman: Arkham Origins and Captain America in Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers. He also played the character for over 100 episodes in Avengers Assembles. Perhaps most famously, Smith has been the voice behind Sonic the Hedgehog for now over a decade, working with the franchise for multiple series, games and other projects.
