Roger Martin-Fagg is a leading economist and writer. He combines his knowledge of economic patterns and trends with his management development experience to deliver tailored training programmes to global companies.
Martin-Fagg graduated in economics from Leicester University, before working at the New Zealand Treasury. He then returned to the UK to work in Corporate Planning in the Air Transport Industry. He began teaching economics and strategy, helping businesses to bridge the gap between economic theory and practice in their companies. One of his biggest projects was to design and teach the postgraduate diploma in Airline Management for British Airways. Working as both a consultant and as a teacher at Henley Management College, Martin-Fagg specialises in making economics accessible and explaining how economics headlines can affect business practice. As the director of Martin-Fagg Associates, he has consulted with a huge range of companies including Lloyds Bank, Greenalls and The Economist and is now a visiting fellow at Ashridge and Warwick Universities. He runs a number of keynote courses and workshops for participants to learn about economic activity, risk and business strategy.
His range of theoretical knowledge and specialism in economic outlook, coupled with his practical approach mean he is a pioneering businessman in his field. He is shaping the way the world thinks about economics and has released a book titled Making Sense of the Economy, as well as regularly contributing to publications and media broadcasts.
