Businessman, reality TV star, and committed father Roger Mathews is best known to the public for his appearances on the iconic Jersey Shore and its spin-off series Snooki & JWOWW between 2011 and 2016. At the time, he was married to Jennifer “JWoww” Farley. The pair had two children, Meilani and Greyson, but divorced in August 2019. Mathews remains firmly in the public eye, however, with over 2 million followers across various social media platforms. He also co-hosts the popular The Champ & The Tramp podcast with UFC star Frankie Edgar.
Mathews was born in 1975 in a small town in Maine. A successful businessman, he met Jenni Farley whilst she was filming the first series of Jersey Shore in 2009. The pair became an item, and Mathews began to appear on camera from the third season onwards. By that point, the show had become a phenomenon of modern pop culture, winning millions of viewers and even being the subject of academic conferences. In 2012, Farley was given a starring role in the spin-off show, Snooki & JWOWW. Mathews became an inevitable star of the show, appearing in all but three of its 48 episodes and generating some of its best moments. During the second season, he and Farley got engaged on camera. They married shortly after the end of the fourth and final season in 2015.
Since the end of Snooki & JWOWW, Mathews has made a couple of appearances on further spin-offs, including Jersey Shore: Family Vacation and Jenni & Roger: Domesticated. These days, however, he’s more focused on raising his kids and hosting his popular podcast.
