Almost immediately after that, it was rumoured that she had signed a contract with HarperCollins to write a book about Breitbart News, and that she would reportedly receive an advance of approximately $350,000. It was reported in January 2019 by Politico that Gray would be returning to Buzzfeed News in the month of April to begin working there as a correspondent covering media and politics.
