Russell Davies is a blogger, writer and strategist who has spent over 25 years working out what happens when services and organisations meet the internet. The former Director of Digital Strategy at the Co-op, Director of Strategy for the Government Digital Service and CEO of Doteveryone, he has worked with multiple organisations including Honda, Microsoft, Nike, Apple and LOCOG (London 2012). Davies is also a Contributing Editor for Wired Magazine where he also had a column for several years, and also had a column in Campaign magazine.
He co-founded RIG and Newspaper Club and is an investor in Juno, Run An Empire and Breakroom and is currently VP Marketing at renewable energy company Bulb.
Davies has been blogging regularly in his spare time since 2013. He also the author of a book about great British cafes called Egg, Bacon, Chips and Beans, and made the BBC programme ‘Internet of Things’. Over the years he has won several awards and accolades for his work, including a DandAD Black Pencil for Writing and an APG Gold Award for Planning. His fascinating work has also featured at the prestigious Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
A popular public speaker who has appeared at numerous tech/culture events around the globe, Davies has also organised his own conferences including a series called Interesting.
