If you’re looking for someone to speak at your next event that will thrill and excite in equal measures, Sarah Outen would be a solid choice. One of the biggest names in the world of adventure, she’s found a happy medium of embracing the media attention that her exploits inevitably attract while being respected by her peers as a serious explorer with some tough expeditions under her belt. The London2London Via The World expedition that she took on saw her travelling for almost five years around the northern hemisphere using a rowing boat, a bike and a kayak. During this time she shared the highs and lows of the journey with the public in real time. As well as spending long stretches of time alone in the middle of the ocean, Sarah grabbed headlines when she took the opportunity to propose to her girlfriend via satellite phone in the middle of the sea. Sarah has an impressive background as a graduate of Oxford University and is an engaging and enthusiastic presenter, sharing the challenges and successes of her own adventures in order to encourage others to pursue theirs. She is currently in the process of making a documentary of the London2London circumnavigation and is keen to take on more work presenting on TV and radio while she plans her next adventures.
