Scott Leckie is a distinguished international human rights advocate and global housing expert, dedicated to advancing economic, social, and cultural rights. Born in Los Angeles, California, and now residing in Australia, Leckie holds Dutch citizenship and has made significant contributions to the human rights field through the establishment of various organizations and remedial institutions. He currently serves as the Director of Displacement Solutions, a Geneva-based NGO focused on assisting individuals displaced from their homes due to conflict and climate change.
In addition to his work with Displacement Solutions, Leckie is the Director of the Oneness World Foundation, an innovative organization that seeks to foster a post-nation-state world where all individuals are recognized as equal citizens of Earth. This vision promotes peaceful coexistence and addresses the inequalities perpetuated by national boundaries.
Leckie’s career is marked by his founding of the Centre on Housing Rights and Evictions (COHRE), where he served as Executive Director from 1991 to 2007.
