Seohyun

Seohyun is an established South Korean singer, actress, model, songwriter, and presenter known for her extensive career in entertainment and her commitment to philanthropic efforts. After debuting as the youngest member of the globally acclaimed girl group Girls’ Generation in August 2007, Seohyun quickly established herself in the international music scene with the release of their hit single ‘Gee’ in 2009. Her early solo endeavors included contributions to original soundtracks and a notable duet, ‘JjaLaJaJJa,’ with Joo Hyun-mi, which earned a ‘Trot Music of the Year’ nomination at the 2009 Mnet Asian Music Awards. Expanding her artistic reach, Seohyun showcased her acting versatility by appearing in MBC’s variety show ‘We Got Married 2’ from 2010 to 2011, and lent her voice to the Korean-dubbed versions of the animated films ‘Despicable Me’ (2010) and ‘Despicable Me 2’ (2013).

Following the conclusion of her contract with SM Entertainment in October 2017, Seohyun intensified her focus on her acting career, joining Namoo Actors in 2019. Her subsequent notable roles include MBC’s melodrama ‘The Time’ (2018), JTBC’s ‘Private Lives’ (2020), and her lead actress debut in the critically acclaimed Netflix film ‘Love and Leashes’ (2022).
