Shauna Coxsey

Shauna Coxsey, born on January 27, 1993, in Runcorn, United Kingdom, developed an interest in climbing at a young age. Inspired by a film featuring Catherine Destivelle, she first visited a climbing wall at four years old. Despite being initially too short for the walls, she pursued her passion and began her competitive career in 2012. Her dedication led her to become the UK’s first-ever overall winner of the Bouldering World Cup series, establishing her as a prominent figure in the climbing community.

Throughout her career, Coxsey achieved several notable milestones, including becoming the first British Woman to boulder the grades of 8A+, 8B, and 8B+. She gained recognition for her consistent performance on the international circuit, securing a staggering thirty podium finishes in the Bouldering World Cup. Her participation in events such as the Red Bull Dual Ascent in 2022 further showcased her skills and adaptability in challenging environments.
