Walter Stacy Keach, Jr.–better known as Stacy Keach–is a hugely prolific actor, stage star, TV regular and much love American personality. Throughout his long career he has had many dramatic roles and these include the likes of Mike Hammer in the 1984 TV series Mickey Spillane’s Mike Hammer and later a series of television films. As well as this he has been in in demand voice actor and narrator who has worked on shows like CNBC’S American Greed and various educational television programs.In comedy roles, Stacy has starred as Ken in Titus on Fox and has also been in Cheech & Changes Up In Smoke and Nice Dreams as Sergeant Stedenko.
Stacy picked up a Master of Fine Arts at the Yale School of Drama and also studied at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. His hero is Laurence Olivier and in his time he has won many awards including Vernon Rice, Drama Desk and Obie Awards having put in great performances in Macbeth, Shakespeare and Richard III. After suffering from it as a child, Stacy is now honorary chairman of the Cleft Palate Foundation, and advocates for insurance coverage for surgeries relating to the issue. He has also had a mild stroke before but made a full recovery, so is used to fighting back against adverse circumstances. All of this has helped make him a motivational and inspirational figure who is still very much in demand for a range of roles, speaking engagements and narration jobs.
