Steve J. Palmer is an American actor most famous for portraying outlaw Bill Williamson in Rockstar Games’ action-adventure game Red Dead Redemption. Since first playing the short-tempered antagonist in Red Dead Redemption in 2010 and Red Dead Redemption: The Man From Blackwater (a FOX network Special short film based on video game footage from the game), he reprised the iconic role in Red Dead Redemption II in 2018, making him among only a small number of actors who have contributed to both games in the franchise. As a favourite actor amongst fans of the hugely popular game, Williamson often makes guests appearance at conventions such as Florida Supercon and SacAnime in Sacramento.
Palmer’s other acting credits include HBO’s Deadwood, House of Lies, Emily’s Reasons Why Not and numerous voiceovers for programmes on both the History Channel and the Discovery Channel. Multi-talented Palmer is also a comic book author for the ATOMIC BASEMENT indie label and penned The Ghosts of Marko Darc and Z-Blade XX.
Hailing from New Hartford, New York in the USA, Palmer grew up in Daytona Beach, Florida. He attended the University of South Carolina Aiken where he earned a B.A. in Fine Arts, and is an alumnus of iO West, the legendary Hollywood Boulevard comedy institution. Palmer made his TV debut in Deconstruction: House of the Future in 2005, and acted in several minor roles before landing his life-changing role in Red Dead Redemption in 2010.
