Steve Stevens is a Grammy Award-winning guitarist who is most known for his 30-year association with Billy Idol, his work on Michael Jackson’s “Dirty Diana,” his Grammy Award-winning performance on “Top Gun Anthem,” and his work with Vince Neil on “Exposed.” Stevens’ popular songs include “Rebel Yell,” “Eyes Without A Face,” and “Flesh for Fantasy,” which he co-wrote and sang with Idol. Miley Cyrus, Sum 41, Blink 182, Queens of the Stone Age, Green Day, Drowning Pool, Him, Murderdolls, Children of Bodom, Dope, Black Veil Brides, Daughtry, Deathstars, and The Donnas are just a few of the musicians who have lately covered them.
Joni Mitchell’s “Chalk Mark in a Rainstorm,” The Thompson Twins’ “Here’s to Future Days,” Diana Ross’ “Eaten Alive,” Peter Criss’ “Let Me Rock You,” Robert Palmer’s “Don’t Explain,” Pink’s “Try This,” Ric Ocasek’s “This Side of Paradise,” and Juno Reactor’s “Shango,” “Hokata,” and “Pistolero” are among the hit records to which Stevens has contributed.
In addition to “Top Gun,” Stevens has appeared on the soundtracks of “Once Upon A Time In Mexico,” “Dogtown,” “Big,” “The Wedding Singer,” “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” “Coyote Ugly,” “Matrix Reloaded,” “Speed,” “Look Who’s Talking Too,” “The Upside of Anger,” and “Heavy Metal.” Stevens also performs with a number of well-known all-star ensembles, such as Camp Freddy and Kings of Chaos. Stevens released new music with Billy Idol in 2014, followed by substantial international touring in 2015 and 2016.
