Steven Michael Quezada is an actor and politician, best known for his role as DEA agent Steven Gomez in AMC’s award-winning series, Breaking Bad. He has also had a long and successful career as a stand-up comedian, and is a 5-time recipient of the NMHEA Comedian of the Year Award. He hosted the talk show, The After After Party, in Albuquerque from 2010 to 2012. As a politician, he has been a County Commissioner for Bernalillo County, Albuquerque since 2017. He has earned the distinction as being one of the most charitable celebrities in New Mexico, and has raised money for organisations such as Youth Development Incorporated, and the Boys and Girls Club of New Mexico. In 2014 he won an SAG award.
A native New Mexican, Quezada has spent most of his life working out of Albuquerque. He studied Theatre at Eastern New Mexico University, and made his acting debut in the 2005 TV movie, Three Wise Guys. He has since gone on to star and feature in numerous films and TV shows, including In Plain Sight, Crash, The Mindy Project, and Better Call Saul. As a renowned comic, he has been seen on HBO, Showtime, and Que Loco’s. He has toured the stand-up circuit since 1987 and has performed all over the United States.
