American teenage skateboarding sensation Steven Vasquez has taken the world of social media by storm. Famous for skating at well-known parks around the Los Angeles area including the Berrics and Ferguson, he regularly shares videos and photos of his skating skills through his Instagram account, which has already racked up more than 74,000 followers and continues to grow on a daily basis. Vasquez has also made a name for himself as one of the youngest skaters in history to boardslide the Hollywood High 16 rail.
Hailing from Chino, Calfornia, the incredible skateboarding prodigy first began posting to Instagram in April 2014 under the tag name steven_sk8life. He also began to upload extended content of his skateboarding exploits through YouTube in July the following year, and started sharing fun Day in the Life videos. He quickly drew attention on social media for his skills that were way beyond his years, and his online following soared.
Unsurprisingly the skateboarding prodigy has enjoyed collaborations from multiple sponsors, landing sponsorship deals with Grizzly Grip, Junkys, RastaClat, Etnies, TechDeck, SkateBalm, TacoDudes, Diamond and Tensor. Videos of Vasquez becoming one of the youngest ever skaters to boardslide the Hollywood High 16 rail at just 9 years old have been watched over 80 thousand times online, and it’s clear that this talented youngster has potential to become one of the world’s best skaters.
