Olympic hopeful Susana Kochesok is an individual and synchronised trampolinist from Russia who came fourth at the World Cup in Valladolid, Spain in 2019. She also clinched the gold medal at the 2019 Russian National Championships in Khabarovsk. With her impressive form throughout 2019, Kochesok is now ready to take on the world at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021. Kochesok has been awarded the title Master of Sport of International Class in the Russian Federation.
Born in Recpublika Adygeya in Russia, Kochesok was a restless and energetic child and her parents encouraged her to try trampolining when she was six to use some of her boundless energy. Kochesok had a natural talent for the sport and by 2014 she had competed in her first World Cup and represented her country at the 2015 Trampoline World Championships in Odense. In 2016 she won her first major medal when she bagged the silver at the 2016 European Trampoline Championships alongside partner Anna Kornetskaya.
In 2019 she made some of the greatest performances of her career so far, winning the gold medal at the Russian National Championships and just missing out on the podium at the World Cup, finishing in fourth place amongst tough competition from the greatest trampoline gymnasts in the world. With the Olympic Games in Tokyo just around the corner, Kochesok may have found her best form at just the right time as she sets her sight on the podium at the greatest show on earth.
