Sydney Ann Poniewaz is better known to her million-plus followers as Sydsnap. She is an anime and manga vlogger best known for her YouTube channel, which is packed with content on all things anime, but which often focuses on some of the more bizarre aspects of hentai — a sexually suggestive version of anime. She is also vlogs about life in Japan, the country she moved to from her native America along with her husband, fellow anime vlogger, Gigguk.

Poniewaz was born in America but spent time living, studying, and working in the UK and Thailand before settling in Japan and becoming a full-time anime influencer and content creator.
