Tati Polo is a leading Mexico and LA based chef who specialises in healthy living and eating. The former model, competitive synchronized swimmer and Venezuelan beauty contest winner has combined the dedication, attention to detail and poise she learned as a model and athlete and brought these elements together to her life-long passion of cooking. She is the owner of her own company offering event planning, culinary classes and catering, Forkplate Productions.
Born and raised in Venezuela, Polo was a talented synchronized swimmer as a child and became part of her National Team, travelling the world experiencing different cultures and cuisines. She then became a successful model and competed in the Miss Venezuela pageant, and she featured in numerous magazines, calendars and runway shows before deciding to follow her true passion of cooking.
Polo graduated with honours from the elite Le Cordon at the California School of Culinary Arts, and since learning her trade saw the opportunity to blend her love of cooking with delicious and healthy recipes for Latinx audiences, enabling them to enjoy traditional recipes whilst reaping the health benefits. Polo has grown a large and loyal fan base, thanks to her Instagram account where she regularly posts tutorials, recipes and behind the scenes of her daily life and food prep, and her popular show SALADLAND with Tati Polo on Univision. Her Univision segment “Un Taco de Ojo con Tati Polo” was nominated for an Emmy and a Tecla Award for Best Food Content Creator.
