One of the most highly decorated female lugers in recent history, Tatiana Ivanova has been European Champion numerous times.
Ivanova has competed since she was 9 years old, and has had a hugely successful senior career. Her World Cup debut came in the 2008/2009 season, competing at the Winter Olympics a year later in Vancouver. From then she was unstoppable, winning the European Championships title in 2010 and 2012, and taking two silvers at the World Championships in 2012. She continued to consistently take home medals every time she competed, winning a bronze at the European Championships in 2015 and another two silvers at the World Championships in the same year. Ivanova is widely regarded as one of the fiercest competitors on the professional luging scene, with years of experience and training behind her. She is a determined and dedicated athlete, and her efforts continued to pay off over the next few years with more medals at competitions across the world including two golds at the 2018 European Championships and a gold at the 2019 World Championships.
This talented luger shows no signs of slowing down, with yet another European Championships gold in 2020 and a silver at the 2020 World Championships, held in her native Russia in the city of Sochi. With World Cup golds throughout the 2019/2020 season, Ivanova continues to impress with her medal winning ability.
