The highly talented Theishter is an “anime musician” who has become famous for his moving piano renditions of anime and vocaloid music. Born in the Philippines, he currently lives in Canada and has built an organic YouTube audience of more than 1 million subscribers for his art, which includes instrumental versions of soundtrack music from the likes of Sword Art Online, Kimi no na wa, Tokyo Ghoul, and many others. He offers sheet music transcriptions of the pieces through his website.
Theishter opened his YouTube channel for business back in 2009, eager to share his love of anime and vocaloid songs with fellow fans and people who had perhaps never heard it before. Since then, he has uploaded more than 300 compositions, which have received in excess of 320 million views. He is completely self-taught on the piano, which makes his accomplishments all the more remarkable.
Theishter has been quite of late. At the time of writing, he has not uploaded any new music for two years. But his sheet music is still from his website, and who knows, he may drop a beautiful new song tomorrow?
