Thomas Jaeschke is an American professional volleyball player who is a valuable member of the United States national team. He earned a bronze medal with his nation at the 2016 Summer Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. He currently plays in the Outside Hitter position for the top-flight Chinese team Beijing BAIC Motor.
After a hugely successful run at college where he was named to the NCAA All-Tournament Team in both 2014 and 2015, Jaeschke commenced his professional career at the Polish club Asseco Resovia Rzeszów. He was crucial in securing the Polish Championship with Asseco Resovia in the 2015/2016 season. On the international stage, Jaeschke has made a great many appearances, including a bronze medal at the 2019 FIVB World Cup, silver at the 2019 FIVB Nations League and gold at the 2017 NORCECA Championship. Jaeschke has been bestowed with a number of individual awards, most notably AVCA National Player of the Year in 2015.
An undeniably influential player on the court who has had an extensive career at several clubs including the well-regarded Italian teams Calzedonia Verona and Allianz Milano, Jaeschke is one to watch over the coming years as he continues to establish his legacy as one of the most skilful players on the court.
