Tommy Lloyd is a famous American college basketball coach who is currently the head coach for the University of Arizona team. Lloyd has made history in his first two seasons as a head coach, winning 61 games, which is the most for any head coach in NCAA Division I history.
Lloyd’s career began as a volunteer administrative assistant for the Gonzaga Bulldogs in 2000, and he eventually became a full-time assistant coach. During his tenure at Gonzaga, Lloyd made a name for himself as a talented recruiter and played a significant role in recruiting international players to the program, including star players such as Ronny Turiaf, Elias Harris, and Rui Hachimura. Lloyd also helped develop NBA players for Gonzaga, including Adam Morrison, Zach Collins, and Brandon Clarke. Lloyd’s success at Gonzaga made him a highly sought-after head coaching candidate, and he eventually took the head coaching job at the University of Arizona in 2021.
