Trixie The Golden Witch
YGG Studio is the very popular, anime-focused YouTube channel run by Trixie the Golden Witch. The channel has built up an audience of more than 300,000 subscribers thanks to its 1,000+ videos, which cover everything from Trixie’s unique anime rants to music to personal vlog content. She also has more than 18,500 followers on Twitter and has a successful Patreon account where her biggest fans can inform and financially support her work. She also has a Substack account on which she regularly blogs about everything from her favourite albums of all-time to takes on contemporary society.
Trixie the Golden Witch is a trans woman who first found fame in her previous incarnation as ‘Digibro’. Her Digibro channel made her very successful, not least because of her strong opinions on anime subjects. Her rants brought her both fans and detractors, none of whom could deny she made highly entertaining and provocative content. As she began transitioning, briefly using the monikers Digi-Nee and Beatrice Deracine, she began taking down her Digibro content, but such is her status in the anime community that fans have set up archive channels of her old material.
Alongside anime, Trixie’s other great passion is music, and she runs a YouTube channel called Whatcha Reviewin’? in collaboration with ASEP Presents, giving her takes on the latest hip-hop albums.
