In the world of gaming, she was the host of Playstation’s first digital magazine, Qore, and is the co-founder of the largest World of Warcraft guild in North America. She has worked extensively as a public speaker, startup advisor, and presenter for companies of all sizes, including IBM, Intel, Sony, and AOL. She is also the co-founder of Sword & Laser LLC, one of the dominant voices in genre fiction, which spans video, podcasts, book publishing and live events.
Born and raised in Connecticut, Belmont attended Emerson College in Boston, where she studied for a BA in Audio Production and New Media. After graduating in 2004, she secured an internship at CNET and worked her way up to producer and associate editor, eventually producing, engineering, and co-hosting the hit podcast, Buzz Out Loud. She later worked for Mahalo, Revision3, and Sony Computer Entertainment. In 2007, she began co-hosting the Hugo-nominated Sword & Laser podcast with Tom Merritt. After doing some voice-acting work for the post-apocalyptic role-playing video game, Fallout New Vegas, she joined TWiT.TV as a co-host of the gaming show, Game On!. She also worked for BBC America as a gadget tester, and then in 2017 she hosted the IRL – Online Life is Real Life podcast for Mozilla. She joined the Adobe team in 2018.
