Violet Benson
The hilarious Violet Benson is a stand-up comedian and TV host better known by her online alias Daddy Issues. She blogs, curates and creates original memes, as well as humorous videos where she makes fun of herself and the struggles of growing up in the 21st century. She also hosts the twice weekly Almost Adulting Podcast.
Born in Russia, but raised in the United States from the age of 14, Benson took two degrees in Business Law and Accounting and was working as an accountant when she created her Daddy Issues Instagram account in 2014. It quickly became one of the fastest growing Instagram accounts in the world and earned over 5 million followers. She then came to the attention of MTV and started working for them as a guest blogger during the pre-show coverage of the MTV Music Awards in 2015. Vanity Fair later named her “The Instagram Meme Queen”.
Benson regularly connects with her hundreds of thousands of followers and fans through TikTok, Instagram, and Facebook, posting pictures and comments about her comedic life. She also has a meme instagram account @daddyissues, which reaches 5.4 million followers.
