Vita Lukan is a young and extremely talented international rock climber representing Slovenia. Born in 2000 in Jesenice, Slovenia, Lukan was encouraged to climb by her father at a young age. At first it was just for fun, then she became more and more committed to the sport and competition. Climbing requires strength, but also creativity and mental fitness, attributes all of which Lukan possesses. She is renowned for her many achievements in climbing on an international level.
Lukan has achieved many medal and places on the podium, she was Junior Vice World Champion in bouldering in 2016, and in the following year she became the Junior European Champion and won the European Junior cup for climbing on difficulty. In 2018, Lukan achieved Silver at the Summer Youth Olympic Games and Junior World Champion. In 2019, she was placed seventh in the World Championships in difficulty and moved on to the next race where she finished sixteenth. Lukan now lives in Radovljica, Hornokransky region and has ambitions to rise in the World rankings and compete in the Olympics in Tokyo.
