White Panda

White Panda originated from the collaboration of two friends from Los Altos, California, who began producing music individually at different colleges. They later united to form “The White Panda,” gaining recognition for their mashups on college campuses and music streaming services. Their early career involved a national tour starting in July 2011, which included performances at the University of Delaware and Cornell University, sharing stages with artists like Flo Rida and Wale. During this period, White Panda’s live shows were characterized by their signature black and white suits and glowing LED panda masks.

White Panda became a consistent presence at major music festivals, notably the Firefly Music Festival, where by 2016 they had performed on The Woodlands dance music stage more than any other group. This established their reputation within the festival circuit. A significant milestone occurred on September 6, 2017, with the release of the single “Blood on the Dance Floor x Dangerous.” This track, supporting Michael Jackson’s compilation album Scream, achieved charting success, reaching number 47 and peaking at number 41 on Billboard’s Dance Songs Chart.

In 2018, White Panda transitioned to a solo act, an announcement made via their Facebook page. Throughout their career, they have released several full-length mashup albums, including “Versus” (2009), “Rematch” (2010), “Pandamonium” (2011), “Bambooyah!” (2012), “Bearly Legal” (2013), “The Pawprint” (2015), and “Nightcub” (2021). These releases, combined with extensive touring and festival appearances, underscore their sustained activity and impact in the electronic music scene.
