The multi-talented Wyatt Cenac is an American comedian, actor, voice actor, producer, and writer. He began his career as a writer and occasional voice actor on the Emmy award-winning animated sitcom King of the Hill, before working as a correspondent and writer for The Daily Show with John Stewart. Cenac co-starred in Medicine for Melancholy, an independent romantic drama film and Barry Jenkins’ first feature, which dealt with issues of African-American identity and gentrification in San Francisco.
Cenac has appeared in multiple movies, such as Sleepwalk with Me, Hits, I Do…Until I Don’t, and played a lead role in 2016’s Jacqueline Argentine (which he also directed), and Fits and Starts, a film nominated for the grand jury prize at the South by Southwest film festival. He has made numerous television appearances, starring in the TBS comedy sci-fi series People of Earth, and has featured on the likes of Maron, Inside Amy Schumer and Last Week Tonight with John Oliver. He recently hosted and served as executive producer on the HBO documentary series Wyatt Cenac’s Problem Areas, which was billed as “a satirical look at social and cultural issues from Cenac’s unique perspective”.
His voice-acting credits include a starring role on Nickelodeon animated series Fanboy & Chum Chum, in addition to appearances in Bojack Horseman, Venture Bros, Bob’s Burgers and Archer.
Cenac has released three stand-up comedy specials; Comedy Person (2011), Wyatt Cenac: Brooklyn (2014), which went on to be nominated at the 58th Annual Grammy Awards for Best Comedy Album, and “Furry Dumb Fighter” (2016). He has worked within the music industry, collaborating with rapper Slim Thug on the music video ‘Still a Boss’, and guest-starred on the MC Frontalot album, Solved. He has also co-hosted four episodes of The Bugle podcast with Andy Zaltzman.
