Yanic Truesdale is best known for his recurring role as hotel receptionist, Michel, in the classic American TV show, Gilmore Girls. He reprised his time as the character in the 2016 reboot of the show, Gilmore Girls: A Year in the Life, where the familiarity of his sharp-tongued, sarcastic Frenchman role was adored by the longtime fans of the comedy.
As a young man, Truesdale studied acting at the National Theatre School of Canada, and quickly made a name for himself when he joined the cast of He Shoots, He Scores. As a bilingual actor, he’s acted in both English and French speaking productions, most recently starring in the new French show, Les Mecs, and in The Wedding Planners as a recurring character. However, the crowning jewel of his career has certainly been Gilmore Girls, where he appeared in over a hundred and fifty episodes. His performance even earned him a spot on Daily Variety’s ‘10 Actors to Watch’ list.
Truesdale has been working nonstop the past few years. In true 2020 fashion, Truesdale worked under the pressure of the pandemic to be a part of a charming new holiday romance, A Christmas Exchange, a TV movie to be released in Canada, whilst also filming for two other shows and making sure he’s not a face to forget.
Truesdale now also has a Cameo account where he offers fans the chance to receive a personalized message from him and snippets of him acting in character.
