An entrepreneur with a clothing brand and successful TikTok channel, Uyi Omorogbe is a rising social media star and influencer. Also known as YoungYosa, many of his most popular TikToks are comedic videos featuring his African parents.
Born in Albany, New York, Omorogbe studied economics and played soccer at Colgate University. He was once recognized as the Patriot League Offensive Player of the Week and made the league’s Academic Honor Roll three times. While at Colgate, he conceived and created his NaSo closing brand. Combining African and Western styles, he won first place at the 2019 New York Business Plan competition and now works as a full-time entrepreneur and philanthropist. 60% of his clothing brand’s proceeds go to the renovation of a Nigerian school, and Omorogbe has visited Nigeria several times and plans to contribute as much as possible to his family’s home country.
In 2020, Omorogbe’s TikTok page YoungYosa went viral due to his short, relatable videos. YoungYosa’s most popular series is Pissing Off My African Parents, where he performs a variety of outrageous activities and films his parents’ reactions. Omorogbe has grown his TikTok to around 3 million followers, and several of his videos have been viewed tens of millions of times.
