MN2S returns to Amsterdam on 17th October to present our annual ADE showcase event.
This year DJ Jazzy Jeff will headline, alongside Soul Clap, DJ W!LD and Kon.
Ahead of the event MN2S Creative Director, David Elkabas, offers his insight and tips for ADE.
Q. What are you looking forward to the most at this year’s ADE?
A. I know I’m biased but our event at Sugar Factory is always a highlight for me. Looking forward to seeing Jazzy Jeff and Soul Clap in particular.
Q. What are your favourite memories from past ADEs?
A. Dinner at Momo’s with Frankie Knuckles and the Def Mix family springs to mind. I’ve always enjoyed the smaller parties like Restless Soul at Kandinsky also.
Q. Why would you say ADE is a significant event in the dance music calendar?
A. Since Miami (WMC) became disjointed ADE has been the one to go to, I think the fact it’s easy to get to and Amsterdam is such a beautiful and suitable city help. The organizational skills of the ADE team are second to none also.
Q. What is your history with Sugar Factory? And what is it about the venue that brings you back every year?
A. We have done so many parties there it’s hard to think of going anywhere else in Amsterdam now. It’s a great space, great sound system and the team, like most of the Dutch, are extremely nice to work with. They remind me of why we started doing this on the first place.
Q. Finally what’s your top ADE tip?
A. Get a bike, it’s the only way to see the city and once you do it once you always will. Use the bike to see the city the rest will fall into place.
