Now legendary DJ and producer David Morales is revisiting the ‘trippy roots’ of his early 90s career with a four track EP called The Red Zone Project Vol. 1.
The EP pays homage to the Red Zone sound and takes its name from the infamous club in New York. In its prime the club, located on West 54th Street, hosted some of the world’s finest DJs and made a huge contribution to the house movement in New York. Regular acts included Frankie Knuckles, Frankie Bones, DeeLite and of course David Morales.
The EP was released this Monday on decade spanning label Def Mix, which in itself has played a vital role in shaping the landscape of house music.
