Long gone are the days when promoters could easily invite all their Facebook friends to an event, but some help is at hand thanks to some new functionality on the social network.
A new ‘Select All’ button is currently being rolled out within the Event Invite section. It allows event hosts to select all their friends from within a group or event they are a member or invitee to. This includes past events. It also allows hosts to select all their ‘Close Friends’ list with one click.
Hosts can click the button across multiple groups, lists and events that they are part of, vastly speeding up the invite process. It seems that a recently introduced maximum number of invites level is still in place, however.
It’s speculated that Facebook may have introduced the new function to help boost ailing event attending numbers on the platform.
