Talent Profiles: LGBTQ Icons | MN2S

In our Talent Profiles series, we shine a light on some of the most talented names that MN2S has worked with. This week, we’re spotlighting four icons of the LGBTQ community.

Boy George

Boy George is an iconic British singer, songwriter, DJ, and fashion designer. Born George Alan O’Dowd in London in 1961, he rose to fame in the early 1980s as the lead singer of the band Culture Club. Known for his androgynous style and powerful vocals, he became an influential figure in the New Romantic movement. Throughout his career, Boy George has released numerous hit songs, including “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me” and “Karma Chameleon,” and has sold over 50 million records worldwide. He is also a respected DJ and has been a judge on the UK version of “The Voice.”

Peppermint

Peppermint is an American drag queen, singer, and actress. She rose to prominence as a contestant on the ninth season of “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” where she finished as a runner-up. Prior to her appearance on the show, Peppermint was a respected figure in the New York City drag scene, known for her powerful vocals and stunning performances. In addition to her drag career, she has released several albums, including “Black Pepper” and “A Girl Like Me: Letters to My Lovers,” and has appeared in various stage productions, including the Broadway revival of “Head Over Heels.” Peppermint is also an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and HIV/AIDS awareness.

Harvey Guillen

Harvey Guillen is an American actor and producer born in 1989. He is best known for his role as Guillermo in the FX series “What We Do in the Shadows,” for which he received critical acclaim. Prior to his breakthrough role, Guillen had recurring roles on several television shows, including “The Magicians” and “The Thundermans,” and had small roles in films such as “The Internship” and “The Night Shift.” In addition to his acting career, he is also a producer and has worked on various projects, including the short film “Muerta,” which he also wrote and starred in. Harvey is also an advocate for LGBTQ+ rights and mental health awareness.
