Up and coming French DJ and producer Boogie Vice released his brand new The Music Pumpin’ EP on Bunny Tiger last week.
The three-track EP features music of the high standard we have come to expect from Boogie Vice over the years. The tracks include ‘Can’t Find You’, a song about searching for the summertime; ‘Back To Back’, a thumping dancefloor track that turns a few lines from a Whodini sample into a catchy chorus; and ‘The Music Pumpin’, an upbeat yet chilled-out track with a floating Fender Rhodes and a Zapp-esque re-making of a classic Central Line hook.
As explained in his recent Under The Influence feature for MN2S, Boogie Vice takes influence from a wide range of genres and artists, each informing his own work ethic and process.
Boogie Vice has also been busy remixing lately, as usual, with a remix of Jean Tonique’s ‘Guest’ appearing on Tonique’s EP and another remix appearing on Smooved’s Deep House Collection Vol 17.
The Music Pumpin’ EP is a fantastic addition to Boogie Vice’s body of work, and adds to the young DJ’s reputation as a premiere source of funky beats and musical innovation.
