‘The Scoop’ by DJ duo Format:B is track of the week on Beatport.
The Scoop is the latest track by the German duo, whose monster hit ‘Chunky’ which was picked up by Ministry of Sound, and entered the UK Dance Chart and the UK Singles Chart in 2015, and went on to become one of the biggest tracks of the year.
‘The Scoop’ has been released on Toolroom, as Format:B’s first EP on the label. The track is a tech house masterpiece, with synth stabs that evoke steel drums, and a driving groove readymade for the dance floor.
Beatport chose ‘The Scoop’ as their track of the week, but accompanying track ‘Super Pit’ is definitely worth a listen. Harsher and heavier than ‘The Scoop’, but no less energetic, ‘Super Pit’ rounds off this release in the perfect way.
Continuing the collaboration with Toolroom, Format:B will perform at the upcoming Toolroom Live event at Egg, London on September 30. The lineup also features Mark Knight B2B Technasia, Weiss, Dave Howard, and many others, in what promises to be a raucous night in the city.
