Electronic music publication Mixmag has brought back its DJ competition DJ Quest for 2017.

DJ Quest is back for another year. The competition is one of the best opportunities in the business for aspiring DJs, looking for help to make their mark on the scene.

The three winning DJs of this year’s competition will get a press release from Mixmag, a dinner with professionals from all over the industry who will willingly offer up advice, a live Mixmag Lab session and three gigs booked by Mixmag’s events team.

To enter, competitors must send a 30-minute DJ mix, along with their name and personal details, to competitions@mixmag.net.

Last year’s competition was slightly different. Entrants were shortlisted to the top 50, who all played an Ice Cave Rave in Sheffield. The three winners then played Mixmag Live, and another, better ice cave in The Alps.

Though a different structure this year, the competition offers no less of a career boost for aspiring DJs trying to get their foot in the door of the industry, and with enough hard work and dedication, it could lead to the start of a fruitful career.
