You might have heard of The Secret DJ thanks to his widely successful insider account of the dance music industry, published anonymously by Faber & Faber in 2018 and described by The Guardian as a “gooseflesh-inducing […] moreish read”, or his long-running Mixmag column, a feature that has been one of the magazine’s most popular for years. He’s not only a respected journalist and best-selling author, though: the stories he writes about are those of an experienced DJ who has travelled the world for over 20 years, spinning tunes of all kinds across some of the world’s most venerated clubs and debauched dancefloors, as a hugely successful and talented selector with a devoted following, a solid reputation and the talent to back it up.
