This innovative duo pull opposites together for their latest release on Yoruba Records.
Po-lar-i-ty is made up of veteran DJ and producer Osunlade and newcomer Burlie Mac. Teaming up after a chance meeting at Burning Man festival, the pair set out to produce dance music that fuses the electronic and organic, and the positive and negative, bringing opposing elements together to forge something progressive and unique.
Their latest EP, we-are-brothers, was released on April 19 on Osunlade’s Yoruba Records. Across seven tracks, the duo explore the sonic nuances of polar opposites, building atmospheres of cosmic proportions out of inspiration taken from deep house, spoken word, and spiritual jazz.
