Voyeur release The Long Way Home on Dirt Crew |News|MN2S

Next week sees young house heroes Voyeur make their debut on Germany’s acclaimed Dirt Crew Recordings imprint, releasing ‘The Long Way Home’ as part of the ‘Deep Love 15’ compilation.

The track was premiered by i-D this week [listen below] and is a chunky slice of upbeat deep house, with snappy percussion, trademark lush electric pianos and gentle licks of gurgling acidic synths. The track sits on the compilation alongside efforts by John Barera, Waifs & Strays, PBR Streetgang, Rhythm Operator, Soul of Hex, Harry Wolfman & Laurence Guy.

The duo continue to grow in stature, following three EPs for Kerri Chandler’s Madtech Records and Madhouse Records imprints, plus remixes for the likes of Foals, Santigold, Dan Le Sac, Pride, Bombay Bicycle Club and Azari & III.

It’s quite a weird transition going from being mates messing around on the computer to suddenly playing some quite big venues” they told DMC World earlier this year. “It makes it seem a lot more serious! We can sometimes have different ideas in direction but we always meet in the middle and think that’s what’s good about working in a duo – different influences and ideas merge together to create something fresh. Spending a lot of time together, sharing the good times and the bad has now made us brothers from other mothers.

Their recent gigs have included 51st State festival in London, Subculture at Sub Club in Glasgow and Kaoz Theory at Zig-Zag Club in Paris. They also joined Fur Coat in a DJ Mag live stream session earlier this year, and have previously played on the prestigious Boiler Room.

Voyeur are playing at MN2S presents Kaoz Theory ADE showcase at Sugarfactory on Friday 16th October. Click here for tickets.
