Every Monday we take a look at the latest releases from the MN2S label services roster in #MusicMondays. Here’s what’s out this week.
Sid Le Rock ‘Burning Daylight EP’ [My Favorite Robot Records]
With releases on the likes of legendary labels KOMPAKT and Mute, Sid Le Rock’s wistful blend of electronica and folk-tinged alternative makes for a captivating listen. His latest EP for Canada’s My Favorite Robot Records contains three mesmerising new tracks with a couple of extra versions for good measure. Click here to buy ‘Burning Daylight EP’ on Beatport.
Alex Niggemann ‘Abaton’ [Aeon Audio]
Niggemann’s blistering run of form continues with a new release on his own label Aeon. ‘Abaton’ is a deep slice of melodic techno, reminiscent of Âme’s ‘Rej’. Deft, twinkling melodies sit atop a brooding yet stripped-back groove. Quantum Entanglement mellow things out somewhat on their remix, Chymera adds a little rhythmic energy, and Lee Jones ups the chug factor. B-side ‘Tripping Minds’ treads a headier tribal groove. Freeman & Farelly ‘Back To The Mack EP’ [Mile End Records]
Manchester meets Canada on this new release from Mile End. Big bumping house is the order of the day, with a little old skool breakbeat and hip-hop flavour thrown into the mix for good measure. Peak-time house with a classy edge. Click here to buy the ‘Back To The Mack EP’ on Beatport.
