Online music retailer Beatport has cancelled its Baseware distribution service, leaving many artists and labels without a distributor.

Beatport has cancelled all contracts between their Baseware Distribution service and the labels using it. No music will be distributed via Baseware after May 13th. Some have already found their music absent from Beatport’s online store and other online retailers.

Beatport’s parent company, SFX Entertainment, fell into bankruptcy earlier this month, and the retailer was expected to be auctioned. Now, they have chosen to cut back on their streaming, news and distribution services in an attempt to keep their online downloads store afloat.
