Every week we take a look at the new releases from the MN2S label group and agency rosters. Here’s this week’s batch.
Leftwing & Kody feat Robert Owens ‘I Wanna Fixation EP’ LR015B [Lost Records]
Leftwing & Kody’s [pictured] journey into ever-more-rugged territories continues with the dark ‘I Wanna Be’, with seriously sinister vocals from house legend Owens – who features on all 3 tracks on the EP. The immensely talented wAFF adds some 808 flavour and slow-burning energy on his remix, while ‘Fixation’ heads into trackier realms on its Dark Mix with an acidic Main Mix. ‘Thoughts’ rounds things off with cowbell rhythms and gnarly bass.

S-ampel ‘The Escapist EP’ [Decay Records]
Following on from a big vinyl release featuring Franck Roger, Alex Arnout, Jordan Peak and Cesar Merveille, Decay return with three tracks from S-ampel. ‘Escape To NY’ and ‘Fallout’ keep it seriously deep, while ‘Control’ with Beckford amps things up a touch with funk-fuelled bass and vivid atmospherics.

Marasco ‘My Home EP’ [Frole Records]
Hawaiian producer Marasco is on great form at the moment, with this new EP showing no signs of letting up. ‘My Home’ is a techy stomper driven by his trademark thumping bass tones, with a bubbling, spooky remix from David Durango to compliment it. ‘Silver Lining’ goes deeper with incessant double kicks and dubs, while Give Us The Tools remix ups the chunkiness and atmosphere levels to create a great techy roller.

Kevin Yost ‘Rize’ [i! Records]
Prolific American deep house stalwart Kevin Yost lands his new release on the legendary i! Records (home of many a garage and house classic). ‘Rize’ is no-nonsense slice of dancefloor power with a simple yet effective hook and moody vocals. His Deep Dilligence Mix adds a little techy flavour, and there’s an instrumental too.
