10-piece hip-hop outfit Dat Brass will headline Mardi Gras celebrations at Pop Brixton on February 24th.
The North London group are known for their eclectic combination of hip-hop beats, live drums, rapping, scratching, and, of course, a powerful brass section. With unrivaled energy in their sets, comprised of hip-hop favourites, original numbers and brass ‘remixes’, Dat Brass are the perfect choice for a Mardi Gras party.
Pop Brixton’s event promises to be an immersive experience, transporting punters to New Orleans’ French Quarter. The night will feature fancy dress, Louisiana-themed food, and a host of stellar support acts, including Dom & the Ikos, and DJ Lil’ Koko.
When they get home from Mardi Gras, Dat Brass will continue work on their second full-length album, the follow-up to 2017’s acclaimed Half-Time on Foundry Records. Fans should listen out for more fat horn lines and fiery verses from the band.
Dat Brass are also gearing up to play Soundcrash Presents at the O2 Forum in London, alongside Fanfare Ciocarlia, London Afrobeat Collective, Gypsy Hill, and DJ Sacha Dieu.
Dat Brass at Pop Brixton is free on Saturday 24th February.
