Paigey Cakey releases Boyfriend, announces tour | News | MN2S

Paigey Cakey has released her latest video ‘Boyfriend’ and announced her first tour dates for 2017.

Paigey Cakey is finishing up her 2016 with the release of her much anticipated new music video ‘Boyfriend’. In the video, the London rapper extols the virtues of independence and discusses the fact that she does not need a boyfriend.

Produced by Nutty P, the track features a small nod to ‘Sound of Da Police’ by Paigey’s fellow MN2S artist KRS-One.

Alongside the release of ‘Boyfriend’, Cakey has announced the start of her 2017 tour with dates at Band on the Wall in Manchester, Jamm in London and the O2 Academy 3 in Birmingham lined up for January and February of next year.

The Birmingham date will be Paigey Cakey’s return to the city after performing there this month as a part of the Doc Martens Stand For Something Tour.

In other Paigey Cakey news, her video for July single ‘Boogie’ is still drawing in viewers, with over half a million views so far. ‘Boogie’ and her August single ‘Pattern’ are now nearing one million views combined.

Before the year is out, Paigey Cakey will be playing the Harvey Hadden Sports Complex in Nottingham on a bill that includes fellow Section Boyz and Geko.
