New MN2S signee ShaoDow’s recent appearance on 1Xtra’s Fire in the Booth was chosen as one of the week’s best freestyles by GRM Daily.
After Charlie Sloth’s introduction, ShaoDow began his freestyle with some wise words: “If you want to master the art of rap, you must first master four weapons.” The first of these, he says, is lyricism. And over the next three minutes, ShaoDow proves once and for all that he has mastered it. The freestyle tackles record labels, fans, racism, Brexit and how to correctly pronounce ShaoDow’s name.
Over the next ten minutes, ShaoDow takes us through the next three weapons of rap in three sections: flow, delivery, and originality. ShaoDow of course displays all of these things, even rapping in Japanese for one stretch of the song.
In between the sections, ShaoDow shares some wisdom he has gained over the years. He explains that he has a law degree, went to china to learn kung fu, he’s trying to bring grime fans something different, creative and with passion.
From this freestyle alone, it is clear that ShaoDow is a force to be reckoned with, and one of the most exciting artists in the grime game today. Book ShaoDow now to bring the master to your venue.
